Wearingeul Faust is part of the World Literature Collection, a series created by Wearingeul that translates the mood of classic books into ink form. This one is inspired by Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and the color reflects the darker, more intense themes of the story rather than a straightforward black.
On paper, it appears as a very deep violet-black that can look almost pure black in finer writing. The interesting part shows up in heavier strokes, where a green sheen begins to appear across the surface. This contrast between the dark base and reflective sheen gives it a layered look, especially on coated or fountain pen–friendly paper.
In everyday use, it flows smoothly and behaves like a standard dye-based ink, but it performs best when you give it the right conditions. Broader nibs and good paper help bring out the sheen and depth, while finer nibs will keep it looking more like a subtle black. It is not waterproof and doesn’t contain shimmer, but it still offers a distinctive character through shading and sheen rather than added particles.
