Robert Oster Fire and Ice Signature Ink

Robert Oster Fire & Ice Signature Ink is a vibrant turquoise blue ink with a striking red sheen that appears when the ink pools on the page. It’s one of Robert Oster’s most well-known inks because of this strong contrast between the base color and the sheen effect. 

On paper, the ink shows a rich blue-teal base that shifts slightly depending on pen and paper, often leaning more turquoise in lighter strokes and deeper blue in wetter lines. The standout feature is the red sheen that develops in saturated areas, giving the writing a fiery highlight over the cool blue base. It also shows strong shading, so the color naturally varies within written lines instead of staying uniform. 

In everyday use, it flows smoothly and performs well on fountain pen friendly paper, though it is not water-resistant. It tends to show its best character on higher quality paper where both shading and sheen can fully develop, making it more of a “display ink” for writing you want to stand out rather than purely functional notes.
