The Pilot Iro-Utsushi Dip Pen in Transparent Blue is an easy way to enjoy bottled fountain pen inks without filling and cleaning a fountain pen. Simply dip the nib into your ink, write, then rinse the nib with water when you are ready to change colors.
Unlike a traditional pointed dip nib, the Iro-Utsushi uses a fountain pen-style nib with a rounded writing tip, giving it a smoother, more familiar feel on the page. The Medium nib is a good choice for showing off ink color, shading, and character, making this pen especially useful for swatching, journaling, lettering, and trying multiple inks in one sitting.
The transparent blue resin body keeps the pen lightweight while adding a clean splash of color. A guide mark on the nib shows how far to dip it into the ink, and a small transparent nib cap is included to help protect the tip between uses.
