The MD Notebook is designed with a single idea in mind: making the act of writing feel as natural and enjoyable as possible. Its appearance is simple and understated, but every detail has been considered to support a better writing experience.
At the heart of the notebook is Midori’s MD Paper, a writing paper developed in-house since the 1960s and known for handling fountain pen ink with minimal feathering or bleed-through. In this version, the notebook uses MD Paper Thick, a heavier paper that comfortably accepts multiple layers of ink from fountain pens, water-based pens, brush pens, and even light paint.
The notebook is bound using a codex-style thread binding with the spine intentionally exposed. This construction allows the pages to open completely flat from beginning to end, giving you a clear, uninterrupted writing surface across both pages.
Inside are blank pages that offer complete flexibility. Whether you prefer writing, sketching, mapping ideas, or using the full spread as a drawing surface, the layout leaves room for your own approach. The larger page size also makes it easy to capture longer journal entries, notes, or creative work without feeling constrained.
The notebook includes 96 pages and comes with index stickers for simple organization.
